Below is an letter I wrote to Mayor Nagin of New Orleans. The letter was mailed to him on 9 October, 2005. Attempts to e-mail the letter to Mayor Nagin via New Orleans web site proved fruitless.

October 8, 2005

Dear Mayor Nagin of New Orleans,

My spirit was grieved when I heard your proposal to allow a casino district to be built in New Orleans as part of plan to rebuild the city. As I have thought and prayed about this, I was lead to the conclusion by God that you must be warned about the consequences if this proposal goes forth.

The Lord God desires to do a new work in America, which will start in part in New Orleans. America must be purified from her sinful ways. I believe God wants to do a new work in New Orleans, which will affect the entire American population. Building casinos will prevent this work from starting in New Orleans and spreading to the rest of America.

There is a spiritual battle being waged at this moment and its outcome shall affect the city you love and the country we live in. I therefore implore you to reject the casino proposal and to repent before the Lord Jesus Christ if you want to see New Orleans rise again to a future more glorious than her past. If the casino proposal goes forth, then New Orleans shall never rise again and shall be a shadow of her former self. God has given you the opportunity to rebuild a city upon His principles, as found in the Bible. Do not reject this opportunity; you, the people of New Orleans and the American people will suffer greater still if this goes forth. God wants to heal our nation not destroy it, please reconsider.

This letter shall be available on my web site under “Current Affairs” later today as a witness that you have been warned. It shall also be a testament to me and others to ensure that I speak in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and not on my own accord.
