I have a vision that I would like to share with you all. One day as I was praying before God and pouring out my heart about the situation that I am in, the Holy Spirit revealed an image of a pearl and along with the image of the pearl the parable about the pearl of great price (Matthew 13:45-46).

One of the first things the Spirit asked me was how is a pearl made. I said it is made by an irritation, usually sand, that gets in the shell and is then covered by secretes from the oyster. The Spirit then showed me that Jesus was allowing this period of irritation and that my prayers, tears, praise and worship to the Lord was the secretes that would allow the Holy Spirit to cover the irritations and provide comfort. Furthermore, these irritations cause the pearl to grow in size and I saw the pearl grow in size and as it grew it became more valuable. The Spirit then showed me that I was the pearl and that Jesus gave His life for me.

So out of this vision and parable came two meanings that brought me much needed encouragement and comfort. First that Jesus sees me as a pearl of great price and that He paid the price to have me as His own. Secondly, that as a pearl that belongs to the Lord, He wants me to grow in size and that in order for that to happen irritations (trials and tribulations if you will) have to come and that my prayers, tears, praise and worship to Him would release the Holy Spirit to cover the irritations and cause the pearl to be worth more. The Spirit also showed me that the pearl of great price needs to be kept from swine and that I too have to "purchase" this pearl of great price by giving everything I have to the Lord.

Before the vision end I asked the Lord how should I care for this pearl for I knew immediately, that I had to share it with others. But I heard the Spirit say to write it down and send it to my home church. I also felt lead to publish this vision on my web site. So I pray that this means something to you all as well. This vision certainly encouraged me and lifted my spirit when I needed it most. I also know now that by writing it down, I and others can go back and read it as often as needed to and to use as a reminder that we are worth a great price because of what Jesus did for us.
